Mixed Media Trade Show Event Favorites (Part 2)

Hey friends, Becki here with a special edition of Inspiration Station and what’s more inspiring than brand new products??? On Tuesday, I shared a post about the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team’s favorite new products at the Mixed Media Event in held Salt Lake City last week. (If you haven’t had a chance to read that post, you can find it HERE.) Today, I’m sharing my favorite products along with my sweet friend Roree. I’ll share Roree’s picks first 🙂

We all had such a great time in the Lawn Fawn booth. The entire team was able to take home a lot of fun Lawn Fawn projects that we made at the show. Roree fell in love with the new shadow box die. You guys, this is seriously a must have die! The possibilities are endless. We all made this cute polar bear card.

You can see how this die works in this video. The photos just don’t do it justice!

It is July but Christmas will be here before you know it. Roree loves the “A Very Merry Christmas” collection by Carta Bella Paper. She loves the bright vibrant colors combined with the vintage images and theme.

You can see this video in much closer detail on this video:

Tonic Studios made it to our top picks again with their handmade cotton paper. Roree’s favorite thing about this product is that it won’t lose it’s texture when you die cut it with a manual die cutting machine. It also has and amazing metallic finish.

Now, I have three favorites of my own. First, I have to say that it was REALLY hard to choose only three items. There were so many amazing products at this show. I did limit myself to three choices. The first thing I found that I was SO excited about was that for the first time in the history of American Crafts they are re-releasing a collection. The Snow and Cocoa collection from Crate Paper debuted in the Summer of 2016. It sold out so quickly and there were so many complaints that consumers couldn’t find the products that American Crafts decided to bring it back for another season. The patterned papers are the same, some of the embellishments are the same but they also have some brand new embellishments that will be hitting the stores in August. I missed out on this collection the first time it was on store shelves. I’m so excited to get a second chance at playing with this collection. There was a brand new manufacturer on the trade show floor for the first time. Some of you may be familiar with the Felicity Jane kit club. And if you haven’t heard of Felicity Jane, you NEED to see their products! This is their gorgeous, Kate collection. Isn’t it beautiful!?!?!? The owner of Felicity Jane is the sweetest. We loved meeting her and learning about her company. I wish all of you could have visited this booth with us. It was so elegant and well done! Last but definitely not least, the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team deemed the Doodlebug Designs booth the happiest place on the showroom floor. They even served milk and cookies at their booth. How cute is that?!? Doodlebug is known for their amazing color palette and adorable designs. Now, they’re going to be well known for their awesome albums! I am picky about albums and I can tell you that these are the best quality albums I’ve ever seen! They come in all the signature Doodlebug colors and in two sizes (8×8 and 12×12). Just looking at the row of gorgeous albums makes me happy. I’m sure I need two or three albums in each color.

Whew, that’s it! We had an amazing time at the Mixed Media event 2017. We hope you enjoyed seeing some of our favorite products. Thank you again for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I’ll see you again next week. Have a great weekend, my friends!
