Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 Paper Pads and Crate Paper

Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share a layout with you. As you’re reading this I’m traveling to the Sacramento Expo. I’m SO excited to be teaching 4 workshops in Sacramento. Two of those workshops are “Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 paper”. If you’re in the Sacramento area, I’d love to have you in my workshops! The layout I’m sharing with you today is created with the 6×6 paper pad from the Snow & Cocoa collection by Crate Paper. If you’re not familiar with that collection, it was one of my favorite things from the SPC trade show in Salt Lake City last Summer. (You can find more details about this collection HERE.)The base of this layout is a piece of white 12×12 textured cardstock. On both sides of the layout I added strips of patterned paper. These strips are all from the Snow & Cocoa 6×6 paper pads. These strips are actually just scraps that I had from another project. I trimmed those strips into thin strips of various lengths and widths. On the left side of the layout, I created four patterned paper strips. To balance the layout, I added one strip of patterned paper on the left side. When I placed the strips on the layout, I used a tiny dot of adhesive just to hold it in place until I could get to my sewing machine to stitch them in place. After stitching the strips in place I gently bent the edges of the strips up slightly to create a little bit of texture. Once I had the strips from the 6×6 paper pad in place, most of my layout was complete. I added my photo, a simple title, and my journaling to complete the layout. To add a little bit of sparkle, I added a few little gold snowflakes and chipboard pieces. I’m thrilled with how this layout came together. Creating layouts with 6×6 paper pads is SO easy and so fun! I love finding new ways to use all of those 6×6 paper pads that are sitting in a cute little basket next to my desk. Who doesn’t love using their paper crafting products to document memories. Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. My hope is that you’re inspired to create with your 6×6 paper pads. I’ll be back again next week with another edition of Inspiration Station. I’ll see you next Thursday. Happy scrapping friends!

I have so many 6×6 pads and I never use them. I don’t know how to incorporate them on a 12×12 LO. I love what you did here. I’d really enjoy more on how to use 6×6 pads. Safe travels and have fun in Sacramento.
