Beautiful Beads

I’d like to send out a special thank you to Betsy for allowing us to share her beautiful work.  If you would like to see more of her amazing creations you can visit her blog Paper Scissors Superheros. You will surely be adding Betsy to your favorites.

Betsy used the Beautiful Beads Die and Beautiful Beads 4×6 Paper Pads from Papertrey Ink to create this adorable gift ensemble that includes a bracelet and matching gift box, along with a coordinating card.

The box is just a simple kraft jewelry box that was dressed up with a felt flower.  Notice the paper band…that was created with two of the long triangles from the Beautiful Beads die.  Betsy glued the wider ends together and it was a perfect fit for her box.

Here is a close up of the bracelet.  To create the beads,  diecut some vintage book pages, which worked well because they were lighter weight, just like the papers in the Beautiful Beads paper packs…they’re a bit easier to roll that way, but you can use regular scrapbooking papers too.  Add some aqua glass beads and some other rhinestone beads to complete your bracelet.

For the coordinating card, Betsy used the Beautiful Beads die to cut the long triangles for the background.  She used papers from the blue/green Beautiful Beads paper pad and mixed in some vintage book papers.

To get a nice coordinated look, she accented the centers of the felt flowers with some of the beads that she used in the bracelet.  She added some leaves that were cut by hand  from book pages.  The sentiment is from the Tagged Sentiments set from Papertrey Ink.

I hope you enjoyed Betsy’s Beautiful Beads projects as much as I did.
