A beautiful inky background is one of my go-to techniques for many of my card fronts. I love the process, I find it very therapeutic and the possibilities are truly endless. I also love how May die cut the word “love” from Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut seven times out of white cardstock and mounted them together to make it thick using a glue pen. It really makes the title pop!
I hope you’ve been inspired to break out your favorite inks, blending tools, and some plain white cardstock and give it a try.
DIY Trash To Treasure By Cristy
Do you love the idea of crossover crafting? Having the ability to merge your extensive talents is the ultimate achievement! It truly makes my heart sing when I discover an item that has seen better days and I can transform it into a real piece of art. Thrift stores and yard sales are the best places to find such items and being the crafty person that you are, you have the ability to see them for what they can be.
I hope you’ve been inspired to create a few trash-to-treasure projects yourself. I will warn you, it is extremely addicting but oh-so-easy when you have creative peeps like Cristy to guide you through the process. Always enjoy learning from you Lorraine, and this year it was how to get your glitter up from your work area or any where with a swifter mat. It was amazing to see all that glitter disappear. Thanks for the tip, I will be packing swifter mats from now on if I plan on working with glitter. Just wipe and it’s gone, like magic.
