Do you have an excess of buttons lying around? How about creating a pretty shape with them? Here I’ve made a holiday tree. I’ve used cardboard buttons that I found in my stash and a variety of felt buttons that I trimmed out myself with the Buttoned Up dies from Papertrey Ink and stitched them onto a felt tree shape. You could use regular buttons as well and could create different shapes with them like large snowflakes, snowmen, etc! I like the button dies and felt, because they are flat for mailing, but regular buttons would be cute for a card that is going inside a package or hand-delivered.
I’ve simply used a plaid patterned paper on the bottom of the aqua cardstock, a strip of diagonal paper across the center and a stamped sentiment on the top portion of the card. Then I added twine and my little button tree!
