Weekly Scrapper Presents: One Sketch, Three Ways by Becki Adams

Hey friends, Becki here for a special edition of Inspirations Station. I say special edition because I get to tell you about a special project that I have been working on behind the scenes for a few months. I’m am SO excited to be teaching two of my own classes at four Stamp & Scrapbook Expo shows later this year. The first Expo I will be teaching at is in Schaumburg, Illinois on August 18 & 19. I’m teaching two classes on Friday and two classes on Saturday. One of the classes I will be teaching is “One Sketch, Three Ways”. Today I wanted to give you a little sneak peek into this class by creating a layout using a sketch.

I created a video to go along with this blog post because I wanted to tell you all about this class and share a layout with you that I created using a sketch. Creating with sketches is so easy and SO fun! To create this layout I used a sketch that I found on Pinterest. Sometimes I create my own sketches and sometimes, I find sketches online. Even though I used a sketch that someone else created, I made this layout my own and changed a few things so I could tell my story. That is the beauty of using a sketch, you don’t HAVE to follow every detail of the sketch you can use the sketch as a starting point and adapt it as you create. As I’ve created hundreds of layouts over the years, I’ve found that I use the same sketches over and over. In my “One Sketch, Three Ways” class, I’ll teach you how to adapt some of your favorite sketches to create unique layouts, again and again using the same sketch!Come watch the video where I share more details about the class and create a layout. AND you’ll also learn the story behind this layout! Let’s just say, it was one of my most embarrassing moments 😉

Using a sketch as inspiration, this layout only took me a few minutes to put together. I love it when my crafting projects come together easily and quickly. If you’re in the Schaumburg area, I would be thrilled to have you in my class. You can sign up for this workshop HERE. Make sure to let me know that you’re a blog reader!  There are two time slots available for this class, Friday at 10:00am and Saturday at 10:00am. As I mentioned in the video, I’ll be teaching workshops in Denver, Sacramento, and Ontario, as well. Make sure you’ve joined the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo Facebook groups by location, so you’ll know when workshop tickets are available in those areas (Facebook Groups by show location).Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog, I’ll see you in class!
