This is a great product for new scrappers, those who need some creative inspiration, or those who like to match up shapes and papers from page to page.
These are templates which allow you to create your page layout before you cut any materials. The templates are sturdy and come in small collections so that you have several to choose from. Basically, you set the templates on your pages, move them around until you like how they look and then use them to cut your paper so everything comes out exactly like you laid it out with the templates. And, they help maximize your paper too.
The border templates come in pairs (labeled nicely – thank you Kiwi Lane!) so that not only do they mirror each other, but when you put them together they are in a size that makes sense, like 6″ or 4″, so that you get 2 or 3 sets of borders from one 12″ x 12″ sheet of paper!
Once you get your layout set with the templates like this . . .
you start picking them up, placing them on your pattern paper and trace them with a pencil on your pattern paper. Next you cut them out, ink the edges (this is important since it covers any rougue pencil marks).
Did you notice that there are templates for your photos – and there are templates for photo mats too. The photo templates come in common sizes and there are multiples of them in a pack.
As the page comes together, you can see how both sides of the layout match and mirror each other – and it was easy to do, with your own paper.
Another thing that is nice about these templates is how many photos you can get on a page. So, here is the final:
