An Easter Layout For Boys

This fun layout was made with Authentique’s new paper line Hope. With Easter just around the corner I wanted to share this wonderful layout with you. This design was created by JJ Sobey. A Big Thank you to JJ for sharing this with us. This Easter collection Hope is wonderful. One thing that I really appreciate with this collection is that it is very well suited for a boys page. This is something you don’t find very often in Easter papers.

First, take four different papers from the Hope Collection, and cut out eight different square shapes. Distress the edges, and ink each square. This will give it a vintage look. Lay them on your background paper laying them in different areas on the paper. Next you will add your cute photos by placing them on top of the squares.

Cut out some of the Egg motifs from one of the papers. Die cut some spring branches from Sizzix -Tim Holtz Die Branch Tree. You will add the branches as your embellishments. Use a little foam adhesive to made the eggs stand out.

The star and the arrow craft pins are from Maya Road. Place them under one of your photos. These are a great embellishment for this collection.

To add a little texture take some May Arts ribbon (blue and brown) and tuck it under the edges of some of the paper layers. Place your arrow sticker on top of the photo add a foam dot to the back to pop it up. This makes it standout from the background.

To finish off your layout, add your title, Easter 2013. I like to take my letters and lay them on a neutral piece of patterned paper. Then cut around the entire title, and adhere with foam dots. This will make the title stand out a bit, and easy to read when you have a multi-pattern layout.
