Christmas Angel

This is the time of the year that the holiday magic begins.  It is a time to take a moment and reflect on all the wonderful things that we have to be grateful for.  It is a very special holiday when family and friends come together to enjoy each other’s company.  How grateful can we be to have such precious little children around to help celebrate the magic.

Christmas Angel

This beautiful layout was found on a blog called Smart and Beautiful. Starting out with cream card stock you will add some brown rub-on snowflakes to the upper left hand side of the paper creating your background.  Save a few of them as you will randomly add them to several areas later on.

Christmas Angel

To create a winter feeling use a chipboard tree branch from Dusty Attic.  Painting it with brown paint then adding white to the tips of the branches will give it a snow effect.  Place on top of your snowflakes.

Christmas Angel Place some vintage Christmas paper in the center of the layout, tearing the edges to give it a rustic look.  Then place your tree branch on top.  Add a flare button with some painted snowflakes on the top.  Place it on the tree branch.  Add some paper doilies on both sides of the layout, then add your precious picture to the center of the page.  Take some cream lace and add to the bottom of your photo, and add your favorite letters to create the word “Remember”.

Making a beautiful vintage cluster of embellishments you will add crochet doilies with a button and a brad to the center of both.  Tuck behind the doilies a chipboard heart, rhinestone swirl, and a flower.

Christmas Angel

Add to the right side of the layout a circle saying “Holiday Magic” embellishment with a decorative brad, along with a metal snowflake.  Take a different shade of lace and lay it on top of the first piece of lace, and tuck in the words Christmas Angel.

The very last embellishment will be added to the top right corner.  Glue down a half of a doily, then you will place on the doily a vintage looking clock. Add some pearls in different areas of the doily.  What an absolutely beautiful vintage layout.  This was created from a very talented Russian gal Olga Znamenskaya.  For more warming inspirations visit her blog Smart and Beautiful.  You will see so many more of her beautiful creations.
