Deck The Halls

Christmas is my very favorite holiday. It is a time that I get together with family and dear friends. I take many photos of our Christmas events, and this mini album is perfect for adding those photos. What a great place to keep those special memories. This vintage mini album was created by Cheri Piles. A big Thank You Cheri for sharing such a wonderful inspiration.

Cheri made this accordion album using 2 sheets of the Notes side b paper, cutting each sheet in half. For the cover score at 4-3/4″, 5-1/4″ and trim at 10″. For the inside pages score at 4-1/4″ and 8-1/2″. Do this with each sheet. Adhere one 4-1/4″ side to cover from one sheet to back side of cover. Flip one the other sheets around and adhere to the back side of the back cover. Adhere your two 3-1/2″ flaps to one another, and the last 4-1/4″ sheet to the front of the other sheet and your mini album should be ready to decorate. She distressed all the pages and embellishments before assembling the book.

Using the Christmas Home Collection, Cheri added the Merry Christmas strip from the die card sheet and used it for the spine of the album. For the scallop on the right side of the album she used the border from the sticker sheet and cut it in half. Adding at the top Magic (this helps hide where the border did not reach the top of the page).

Be sure to leave room when adhering your pages together for your tags so that they can slide in and out of your book. This will give you a place for you to journal.

Using your sewing machine add cream crochet lace to the edge on a few of your pages. Adding black thread gives it that vintage look. Add black photo corners to finish the look.
