With the Holidays coming up very quickly now is the time to make your homemade gifts. I know so many people would love to receive this darling mug. What a fun idea that Melissa Phillips from Lilybean Paperie created. It’s that time of year again for hot drinks.

Creating a gift set, Melissa used the Coffee Cozy and Details dies and came up with a cute quilted cozy using bits of her tea-stained fabric and muslin. She added fusible batting to create a soft quilted look in between the top and bottom layer. Melissa then added some hand stitching to get that warm cozy feel. Also using the Coffee Cozy Detail Die, she added a tiny Vintage Cream felt tag to the left side of her mug.

Add a border around the top of the cozy, use the heart Border die and Classic Kraft felt, and add vintage trim around the bottom. Create a coordinating tag using Kraft cardstock, the Rustic Burlap Impression Plate, Vintage Cream cardstock, and the Limitless Layers 1 3/4″ and 2 1/2″ circle dies. Along with sweet image and sentiments from the Latte Love stamp set, use the older Tea for Two Additions set, patterned paper, Simply Chartreuse felt, the Heart 2 Heart #7 die, and a Lily Resin Flower. To tie the tag in with the cozy, use the Coffee Cozy Details die once again to create a matching tag out of Vintage Cream felt.

Last of all use some vintage trim and the Ruby Rose dies to create a flower. Top it off by placing a Vintage Cream felt heart die cut using the Coffee Cozy Details. Now you have a special cozy to go on your favorite type of mug. A big Thank You to Melissa Phillips for sharing this fun project.
