Emeline Seet created this wonderful tone on tone shadowbox.
Attic Treasures Collection papers, 5th Avenue chipboard, resin elements, crepe paper and trims to create a wonderful tone on tone project that is both classic and timeless.
Emmeline described how she created the lovely flower in the upper right corner:
“Crepe paper is great for adding dimension. It comes in several colors and is easily manipulated. Here, I made use of Melissa France’s cream-colored crepe paper and lace to create a ruffle flower.
Measure and cut a 12″x2.5″ piece of crepe paper. Cut scallop shapes along the length of one edge
Measure and cut 12″x2″ of lace. Place the strip of lace on top of the strip of crepe paper.
Stitch the lace and crepe together using simple running stitch.
Towards the end of the strips, pull the thread together so that gathers are formed. Adjust and even out the ruffles.
Tie a knot in the thread. Stick on pearls to finish.”
