I would like to thank Geri for sharing today’s inspiration. You can see more of her beautiful designs on her blog Geri’s Paper Wishes. I just love her cards. Each one is so unique and very creative.
This card was inspired using the “Thanks Set” from Precious Remembrance Shop Stamps. I love the word search image that is included in the set. It is so easy to find different ways to use this stamp. Since the word search/sentiment is more like an embellishment, I wanted to reinforce it’s message with another, more traditional sentiment from the set. The little hanger embellishment I have been seeing around quite a bit. This was such a fun way to pop out the word search.
Foam tape helped in adding dimension to the banner, and two pieces of twine allowed me to layer all the pieces exactly the way I wanted. Adding the miniature clothes pins to hang up the cute banner was just a perfect way to finish off the card.
I masked the border that is around this sentiment with scotch tape while inking, and then removed the tape before stamping it at the bottom of my card so that only the sentiment would show…no border! My watercolor pencils gave a soft look to the sweet little hearts. Chalk around the edges in white to finish off the card.
What a special way to say Thank You. Hope this has been a great inspiration for you.
Thank you for visiting. Have a great day.
