I fell in love with this whimsical little boat, it just makes me smile. Today’s inspiration piece was designed by Michelle Zerull author of the Pinch Your Chic Blog. Be sure to stop by any time you need a burst of inspiration.
To build the ship, Michelle used a variety of patterned papers from Crate Paper. She then cut pieces from cardboard and covered them in patterned paper. The ballast, or center pole of the boat was made by wrapping a pencil in washi tape. The boat seams were also covered in washi. (This also helped hide some of the hot glue gobs) Isn’t Michelle’s use of the washi tape as a an accent strip and to cover up seams just perfect!
How cute would this be in a boy’s room or as a party decoration for a Nautical Themed party. This is really thinking outside the box, ya gotta love it. Thanks Michelle for sharing today’s inspiration piece.
