Have you ever heard of the term “Scrapling”? Shari Carroll created Scraplings when she took a square card, trimmed off 1.25″ from the fold, and cut her card into thirds, creating a mini card. In addition to being just the cutest little cards, these are also great for tags, gift enclosures, or bookmarks. Scraplings can be horizontal or vertical and there are no rules when creating them. With stamping, die-cutting, layering, and coloring, you can create a wide variety of card styles.
Donna Mikasa is the creator of these adorable mini cards. Be sure to visit her blog Three Umbrellas for more wonderful inspiration on creating Scraplings.
Donna used three different size birds from the stamp set We’re Expecting from Simon Says Stamp, along with Journaling from Simple Stories. And how creative to recycle a coffee sleeve to add some texture to her card. After seeing these cute scraplings, I am sure you will want to create some of your own. Give it a try; I know you will love the end result!
Thanks for visiting today. Happy Thanksgiving and happy creating!
