When I discovered this sweet card on the Spotted Chick Blog, it automatically made me smile. I’d like to thank Jeanie Witmer for sharing her very creative design, proof that sometimes less is more. Would you believe Jeanie found this cute dog stamp in the dollar booth at Michaels? It makes you think twice before passing that clearance bin!
Jeanie stamped the image onto some Neenah Classic Crest cardstock and colored it with Copics. She fussy cut the cute puppy image and adhered it to the card base using a few foam dimensionals. The cute pooch was grounded using Prismacolor pencils creating a place for him to sit. The fun polka dot balloon was made using a curved edge die but you can just as easily free hand the balloon. Trim the top edge of the balloon to match the top edge of the card.
Jeanie cut a small triangle and adhered it to the bottom of the balloon and attached some string to it and to the pup’s paw. Too cute! To finish, simply stamp your sentiment and add some faux stitching and you are done. Don’t you just love it when a card this cute comes together so easily? I hope that you have been inspired to send one of your handmade cards to someone special. Everyone loves to open the mailbox and discover a handmade card. (I call it a fuzzy!)
Thanks for the visit and I hope you have a very creative day.
