I can’t decide what I love most about this adorable shabby chic treasure designed by Fleur Pearson author of the Handmade By Fleur Blog. Fleur really has an eye for detail, between the perfectly placed layers, the machine stitching, the soft white & grey tones really complete the vintage look & feel of this sweet card. Who wouldn’t smile when receiving this heartfelt card in the mail?
The butterflies were cut out using the Movers & Shapers Magnetic Die Set – Mini Butterflies. The oval was cut using the Majestic Elements – Opulent Ovals. Then they were covered with thick layers of crackle paint when dry Fleur added a few larger cracks by “snapping” the paint to get that worn aged look.
The title was stamped using one of the a sentiments from the Simply Sophisticated. Stamp Set by Lili Of The Valley. I love how the cheese cloth peeks out from behind the detailed oval shape for added texture without a lot of bulk.
