This darling banner will look wonderful in your home during the holidays and add a lovely, vintage look. I discovered this banner on the Cupcake’s Creations blog and really wanted to share it with you. I would like to say a big thank you to the very talented Mona Pendleton for sharing this fun, shabby chic holiday banner.
The Snowflake Rosette die makes a most realistic snowflake.
Mona cut three banners from burlap using the Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax from My Favorite Things. Using the next size down banner die, she took a subtle paper and cut three more banners. Placing the paper on top of the burlap, she then sewed a straight stitch with her sewing machine around the banner. Mona punched circles out of kraft cardstock and cream paper to add to the top of her snowflake. With a fun rubber stamp, she stamped the letters on top of the circles to create the word joy.
With the snowflakes added to the banner, it makes a festive addition to any mantel, shelf, or window sill of your home for the holidays. I look forward to adding to my holiday home décor with a new handmade item each year. I hope that this banner will be a fun inspiration project for you to add to your own holiday decorations.
Thank you for your visit. Have a fun and creative day crafting!
