Sometimes simple really is the perfect choice. Don’t get me wrong I am the first to admit that I go a little overboard on my cards, between the layers & embellishments. But at the same time I do love the clean & simple lines of this heartfelt card. It’s so refreshing & so showy at the same time. True simple elegance.
Beate started with a 3″ x 5″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The heart from the “Be Mine” set was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink & colored with Copic Markers (YR09, R24, R29, R39). The sentiment was stamped on the lower right hand side. Two Washi Tape flags were set in the upper right hand side of the card. I love how all the bottom corners were rounded off, it really complements the curvy shape of the hearts & round buttons.
That layer was matted with a piece of Kraft cardstock. The Kraft cardstock really softens the bold red, black & white color scheme.
The final accent were the two red buttons tied with silver cord & some Want 2 Scrap Bling placed over the washi tape flags. The layers were adhered to the card base, a 3-1/2″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half.
I hope you enjoyed the clean simple style of today’s inspirations piece, be sure to stop by the Fresh and Fun Blog hosted by Beate Johns, you going to love Beate’s clean & fresh designs.
