This is one of those simple, clean, and heartfelt cards to create. Take the time to send out a sweet card to brighten up someones day. Often we are inspired to send a card just because we are thinking of that someone special in our lives. I discovered this darling card on Paper Perfect Designs blog. Kim O’Connell just inspires me with her fabulous coloring and her fun creations. She is truly a talented designer. I recommend stopping by her blog anytime you might need some inspiration.
Kim used the new stamp Hello Sunshine to create her card. She stamped the image on an oval die cut, and colored it with her copics. Using the Fishtail Flags die cut she created her banner behind the stamped image and also to create a banner for her sentiment.
Kim did some stenciling to add the raindrop background. For the polka-dots on the umbrella she used a white gel pen and to add freckles to her cheeks. Giving it a final touch she added a fun seam binding bow with a button and twine. Get out your favorite stamps and copics and enjoy a quite afternoon coloring.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
