You Mean The World To Me

Are you wanting to be inspired to do great things with all of the product that you have?  Like many of us, we buy such great products then not sure down the road how to use them.  This is a fantastic layout using many different techniques and all sorts of different product. Such a great Mixed Media masterpiece. Hopefully this layout will give you some added inspiration.

You Mean The World To Me

On this layout Anna used metal, vellum, stamps, and textured paper.  She used some great Sizzix stamp/die combos for most of the embellishments on this page.

You Mean The World To Me

For the background Anna started out with a watercolor, working on watercolor paper.  She mixed up two shades of blue, then painted the paper with clean water and added the watery paint.  She then let it run down the paper.  The left over paint that pools at the bottom pick it up with a paint brush.  Let completely dry.

Using vellum Anna embossed different patterns so she could use these for a background element.

The images were stamped on Neenah cardstock.  Be sure and leave a little bit of space around the images.  Using the stamp/die combos is very helpful since it keeps the dies where they are suppose to be and then you don’t need to use any temporary adhesive.  Run it through your die cutting machine.

Anna continued stamping and die cutting, using the All About A Boy and the Gypsy Files set.

You Mean The World To Me

For your journaling the tabbed file card in the Gypsy Files set are great.  Anna cut several out using the accompanying stamps for the labels.

The journaling cards were tucked behind the photo.

Anna stamped the background with the line stamps, and with Hero Arts circle stamps.  The die cuts stamp images were layered in clusters, using foam tape for a few of them to pop them up.

The metal border was cut with the Borders die and distressed with alcohol inks.

For the title she made the banner with one of the stamps in the All About a Boy set.  I hope this has helped you used some of those products that you have had laying around for awhile.  A big Thank you to Anna Karin for sharing this wonderful layout with us.  Be sure to visit her blog Layers of Ink.  You will be so glad you did.
