Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started scrapbooking: I live in a small town in central Alabama with my husband and three year old son Brady. I’m a stay at home momma who loves God, her family, and paper crafting. I’ve been scrapbooking since about 2001 when I started scrapping my senior year of high school. I’m usually a middle of the day scrapper since that’s when Brady naps; it is by far the most relaxing time of my day. I am lucky to design for several teams and I love the friendships I’ve made along the way in this amazing industry.
Favorite thing to scrap? Well, hands down that answer will always be Brady!
What do you love about scrapbooking? Like I said above, one of my favorite things about scrapbooking is the friends I’ve made. We’re kind of like a big family and the support for each other is crazing amazing. The other thing I love about scrapbooking is the creative outlet it gives me, I’ve always been a crafty girly but for some reason this has stuck with me for so much of my life. I like that at the same time that I’m doing what I love I am also leaving something for my precious family.
5 Fun Facts about yourself:
1. I’m really Canadian, my family did mission work in FL so that’s how I got translated here!
2. I talk to my hedgehog while I work… for real though, I do.
3. I hate doing the dishes but love doing the laundry.
4. Yoga pants are still my favorite…I rarely do yoga.
5. I have this thing about pearl earnings, I wear them like everyday. (Yes even with my yoga pants.)

Recently I was lucky enough to be a guest for The Hip Kit club and this was one of the very first layouts I made for them. Although the layout is pretty simple I feel like it really allows you to focus on the photo.

Being on a few design teams really gives me the opportunity to play with different products and styles. I love black and white and I think it just comes to life when you add in pops of color here and there.

It is no secret that I love everything Maggie Holmes creates, I always fall in love with all of her patterns and textures in each collection. On this layout I just took some of my favorites and had fun mixing and matching them. This layout is one of my favorite because of the design; I LOVE making tiny collages here and there, making each piece unique and part of my story.
YOU MAKE MY HEART SING by Stephanie Buice
This layout was created for one of the Elle’s Studio DT galleries. Our challenge was to create a project based on a pin so that is where my background came to life. I love mixing in patterns so this one was a ton of fun.
