Welcome to Freebie Friday! I am very excited to be visiting you each and every Friday to show you one of the latest and greatest products to hit the scrapbooking and paper crafting world. I will also share with you a few projects I have created with these products and then give you the chance to win the products for yourself.
Are you ready? Let’s get started …
This week, I created cards using the following products from Taylored Expressions – Chemical Reaction die set, Beaker Buddies stamp set, TE Sequins – Formula for Love, and Matched Kit – Formula for Love. I had a great time working with these products. I absolutely love the dies and the papers.
The grey beaker die cuts on this card were cut and then inserted into the white cardstock. The top layer was then raised on foam dots for added dimension. It allowed me to leave the beaker empty (except for air 🙂 ) but still place the heart stir stick in the open space of the beaker.
Tip: When you receive clear plastic packaging, save it. I cut out a beaker in plastic packaging and used it to hold the sequins on this shaker card.
Would you like to win these love-themed Taylored Expressions products?
For your chance to win these products, leave a comment on this blog post telling us what you love about scrapbooking and/or papercrafting. The giveaway runs until 6pm EST on Thursday, January 22nd. While you are at it, why not show Taylored Expressions some love and leave them a comment on their Facebook page and let them know that you saw this blog post.
Today, I am also excited to share with you one of our new promotions. I am asking you to use the hashtag #IWannaGoSBE. We want you to shout it from the rooftops that you ‘Wanna Go’ to Scrapbook Expo!
- Why not share photos on Facebook from last year’s event and tell us you can’t wait to return next year and tag it #IWannaGoSBE?
- Tweet to your family and friends that #IWannaGoSBE and are hoping they purchase a gift certificate for you to use for classes or a crop at the event.
- Post a photo to Instagram of the goodies you purchased at Scrapbook Expo in 2014 and that you can’t wait to get shopping again and tag it with #IWannaGoSBE.
- Post a photo to Pinterest of the card you completed in a class and cards you have made since then using that technique and tag them with #IWannaGoSBE.
We want to know that you ‘Wanna Go’ to Scrapbook Expo. At this point, you are probably asking yourself “what’s the catch?” Well, you are going to LOVE the catch! Every once in a while, I am going to search out all of the times people have used the hashtag #IWannaGoSBE on the various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram) and… wait for it … I am going to give you two – single day passes to a Scrapbook Expo of your choice. How cool is that?! So basically, you tell us you are excited to go to a Scrapbook Expo and in the process you are entering for a chance to win two passes; one for yourself and one for a friend. Doesn’t that sound great? The more you share, the more chances you have to win! Go ahead – start using the hashtag #IWannaGoSBE and you may win your passes for the 2015 show of your choice!
Thanks for joining me today! I’ll see you back here next week when I will have another giveaway for you! And in the meantime, here’s a little bit more about me:
Growing up, I was always a very creative person. I can remember spending endless amounts of time doing crafts for friends and family. Any kind of activity was good for me as long as it allowed me to express my creativity. After I started my own family, I began to take hundreds of pictures of everything and everyone. With all these pictures to look at, the average photo album had lost its pizzazz. I needed a new medium for presenting our most memorable moments. I wanted my kids to have something they could look at that would make our special moments feel real again.
Enter scrapbooking. Scrapbooking has allowed me to present photographs in a new way, to include a curl of hair from my son’s first haircut, to record my kids handprints and footprints at various stages of their growth, to preserve the artwork that helped them realize how fun a little paint could be, to keep the ticket from their first adventure to the movie theatre, and to preserve the green and red leaves they collected when they first realized that trees change colours every year in the fall. The possibilities are truly endless.
I hope you will join me on this adventure into creativity!
