Saturdays-with-LeAnnI hope you’ve all had a great week. Happy Valentine’s Day, my friends! Thank you for visiting me on this special day! I hope you enjoy the projects that I have to share with you today.

Love by Allison Davis

Love is in the air, so I thought I would share a fun Valentine’s Day layout that you can create after you have taken your Valentine’s pictures. This darling layout is not only full of love, but also fun to create. What a great way for using up some of your scraps you have been hanging on to. Use the same size hearts, or you can modify it with different sizes. Add a few of your embellishments, pictures, and sentiments and your layout will be filled with love.

This fabulous layout was created by Allison Davis, a wonderfully talented design team member for Simple Stories. Be sure to pop on over to the Simple Stories blog to see more fun projects to create.

Who wouldn’t love to eat one of these for Valentine’s Day, or any time of the year? This scrumptious heart shaped cake filled with ganache will make anyone’s mouth water. The cake with the petals and the buds on top is just stunning to me. Need a fun dessert today? Find this yummy recipe on the Zoe Bakes blog.

Heart Shaped Raspberry Cream Cakes

Zoe’s son Henry actually instructed his mom how to design these beautiful cakes. (How cute is that?) So a big thank you to both Zoe and Henry, who is 9, for sharing a fabulous dessert.

Handmade cards are such a treasure to receive. There are so many incredible opportunities to let your imagination run wild by creating handmade cards. Today we have a darling card by a talented designer, Tosha Leyendekker. I recommend paying Stamp Talk with Tosh a visit anytime you need a burst of inspiration. Don’t you just love this sentiment “Enjoy Life Sip by Sip”?  Very well said, and so perfect to go along with the teacups.

Tosha really has a gift for bringing her images to life with her amazing coloring skills. I would like to say a big thank you to Tosha for sharing her amazing card with us today. It is so fun to incorporate stamping along with die cuts, and, of course, ribbon and embellishments. I hope you are inspired to send someone special one of your handmade creations.

I always have great intentions of making cards and having a bunch on hand. I start with a few, but I seem to use them up faster then I can replace them. This card was created with a fun card kit. Sometimes it is just nice to create a card and have everything in front of you ready to go.

Birthday Banner

I love the fact that this card has such a versatile design. Give it a personal touch by adding a sentiment of the occasion you are using it for. Don’t you just love the layering and embellishments? This card was created using the Maya Road kit titled “Beautiful You.” Be sure to check out all of the product that you will receive in this kit.

Last but certainly not least, I would like to share with you a fun home décor project. If you love working with different mediums and love the mixed media look, this gorgeous burlap panel is definitely something you will want to create.

This beautiful piece of artwork can be set out on an easel or even hung up on your wall. The same techniques could be used to make cards or even a layout. This is certainly a masterpiece created by Paula Cheney. A big thank you to Paula for sharing this stunning creation. Visit Simon Says Stamp for more outstanding projects; you certainly don’t want to miss out!

I hope these projects have given you some inspiration today. One of the things I love most about my work is connecting with crafters. I teach workshops at our Scrapbook Expo events throughout the year, and as I look forward to our year ahead, my wish is to meet many of you in person in a workshop. Visit our new Scrapbook Expo web site for a complete listing our our events and I hope to see you there!

Enjoy your weekend, and again, Happy Valentine’s Day!  I can’t wait to be back with you next week. Thank you for your visit today!
