Hello cardmakers!
How often do you look at your stamps in a new way? Today I have a stamp that is supposed to be used as flowers for a bicycle basket, but instead I used them as corners. They aren’t perfectly straight corners, but I thought they would make a great whimsical frame to house my sentiment on this card!
The stamp set I used is the Pedal Pusher stamp set by Papertrey Ink. Here is a card with the flowers and leaves used on the bicycle basket. The card is by Melissa Phillips. You can see they are adorable in the basket, but when stamping them onto a scratch piece of paper to decide what colors to use one day, I happened to view them as pretty corners. Do you ever see something different when looking at a stamp?

Using a ruler, I lined up the corners as best I could, stamped them in pink, then the leaves, and last I used a couple of hearts to fill in missing spots and a little dot with yellow. The sentiment is from the Pedal Pusher set also. In the background, I used a die from My Favorite Things, the Die-Namics Four Way Chevron Cover Up die, and backed it with polka dot paper.
The card is finished with a gold paperclip, a little piece of seam binding, and a few clear sequins.

I am just finding out about the Scrapbook Expo and I plan to attend next year, in Somerset NJ. It seems like the expo falls on my birthdate Aug 12th, so that would be a great way to have some friends and family celebrate with me. I hope to win Free tickets to an event. However I am so excited after looking through all the pics, website and information. I will watch this site every week and I hope to be able to share some of my work also…Love it!! Lynn
