Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: My name is Raquel and I am an Australian primary school teacher, mummy to two kiddies (Jack 1 & Charlotte 3) and wife to Clint. I just adore scrapbooking and documenting our memories. It all began when I was 19 and my mum began a scrapbook for my 21st. She found the craft was not for her and I ended up taking over and making my own album. My healthy obsession for this hobby pretty much started there.

Favorite thing to create: Layouts are definitely my favourite thing to create. I love telling our story through the layouts that I make.

What do you love about this hobby? There is so much to love about this hobby. I love that this craft allows me to document our life and our stories, however big or small. Our stories can be reread and reflected on in the future – they will not be forgotten. I also just love playing with pretty stuff and am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given to do so! I love the people I have met both online and in real life; some special bonds for life have been made there.

5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I’m a big lover of coffee – that daily morning cup gives me that kick-start I need in the morning.
2. I have travelled far and wide around Europe and America but have seen little of my own country.
3. I ALWAYS clean up between scrappy projects. I love to begin a layout with a fresh slate.
4. I am a teacher; maybe that increased my love of stationary and for photos.
5. I am addicted to social media; instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Periscope, you name it – I love it!
