Hello friends, Becki here, which means my favorite holiday (Thanksgiving) is right around the corner. Simple Stories has the cutest Thanksgiving mini collection available right now titled “Gather Together.”
The card I have to share with you is a 5 x 7″ card on a white cardstock card base. I cut a piece of brown hearts patterned paper about an 1/8 of an inch smaller than the card front. Then I cut two pieces of plaid patterned paper and two pieces of green patterned paper (all four pieces measuring 2 1/4 x 2 1/2″). I matted all four pieces of patterned paper on a piece of kraft cardstock.
I tied a big bright orange bow around the middle of the grid and added a brown button tied with twine to the center of the bow. I LOVE adding a button to the center of my bows. For some reason it just feels more finished to me. After stapling the bow in place I added the sentiment “thankful” on foam adhesive to the bottom portion of the grid.
Above the bow, I adhered the turkey sticker and also used foam adhesive to adhere the turkey. The finishing touch to the card is the tiny red heart sticker on the turkey.
What crafting projects are you creating this month? Do you create cards to share with friends and family for Thanksgiving? I’d love to hear!
