Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a mist-splattered card and the techniques I used to create it.
I started with white cardstock, Heidi Swapp Black Velvet Color Shine, and a Faber-Castell stipple brush.
I took the spray nozzle off of the bottle and dipped the brush into the mist.
I pulled the bristles back with my finger, letting the mist splatter over the white cardstock. I repeated this step until I was happy with amount of splatter on the panel.
I personally like this technique better than spraying the mist, because I always tend to over-spray and end up with more color than I originally wanted.
To add larger areas of color, I dabbed the wet brush directly onto the cardstock.
You can also drip the mist with the end of the nozzle to get a similar effect.
I let the mist dry and then added some paper and embellishments from Photo Play Paper‘s Like a Girl collection, along with some hand stitching.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
