Thank you for joining me on National Scrapbooking Day! I think this lovely spring day is the perfect time to celebrate the world of paper crafting. As scrapbookers, not only do we get to express our creativity and make beautiful handmade projects, but we also capture and document important and treasured memories. To help celebrate, Stamp & Scrapbook Expo and Weekly Scrapper are giving away a $50 gift certificate to use at the Expo of your choice. Make sure and read Jen’s National Scrapbook Day post and enter to win this fun prize. You’ll LOVE Jen’s special round-up of events that celebrate National Scrapbooking Day. There are so many opportunities for you to win big!
I am also excited to share some great projects that I discovered this week on several blogs. I love this saying: “All good things come to those who craft.” I think it’s the perfect motto for National Scrapbooking Day! I hope you will be inspired by the projects I have collected to share with you today.
All Smiles By Gabrielle Pollacco
The first project today is a beautiful layout created by Gabrielle Pollacco. I love the vintage charm of this layout! Gabrielle has added beautiful embellishments and details to this layout, and yet her priceless photo is still the first thing your eyes are drawn to. What a beautiful way to preserve a special photo.
Gabrielle used the classic papers from the Maja Design “Life by the Sea” collection. You can add a little accent just by tearing the two papers and curling back the edges. Chipboard pieces are one of my favorite embellishments and they add so much character and dimension to a layout. Spice them up by adding some color to get that perfect look for your layout. Just have fun and remember there are no set rules when it comes to creating your layouts. I am always inspired when I visit Gabrielle’s blog, so skip on over to Such a Pretty Mess and you will be inspired, too!

Antique Window By Cindy
Today I would like to share how to take an old window and turn it from trash into treasure. Who would have ever thought by adding some paint, beautiful lace, and fun hearts you could transform an old window into a treasured wall décor piece? Old windows can really give character to a home.
I have a couple in my home and always get so many compliments on them. One of the first remarks I usually get is who would have ever thought an old window could be so stunning. The next question is “Where did you ever find an old window?” The answer to the question is to look at yard sales. Sometime you can even go to the dump and find them there. Come along with me over to DIY Beautify where Cindy will give you instructions on how she created her outstanding antique window. Be sure to browse her blog for more wonderful and inspirational ideas. You will certainly have a blast creating some new things for your home!
Peach Tart By Kelly Senyei
OK, my crafty friends, it is time to take a break and go into the kitchen and whip up a yummy dessert for your weekend. This Five-Ingredient Peach Tart is one that everyone is going to love. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and wow, you have won everyone’s heart!
Slices of juicy peaches do all of the talking. With a layer of buttery puff pastry for the bottom, lemon juice, an egg, and a dusting of confectioner’s sugar to top it off, this is pure flavor of perfection. It is so simple and very, very yummy! How much better does this get? You will serve one amazing dessert!
I hope you have been inspired today. I will be at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Denver on May 13th and 14th. Please stop at the Registration Desk and say hello, I would love to see you! Happy Mother’s Day to all of you special moms; I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
LeAnn
Thank you for such wonderful inspiration! Looking forward to Duluth, GA in July!
Beautiful. Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome crafters. Keep on creating your beautiful visions. Never stop believing in yourself and give your creations to your children. They will treasure it for life and will pass it down to their children. I have what my mom crafted and gave to me and I share that with my kids. It is a great way to celebrate your heritage and your life as well as your parents’ lives. It passes love on.
