Technique Spotlight with Paige Evans: More Hearts

Paige-technique-header

Hearts are one of my very most favorite shapes to use on a layout. They symbolize love and the photos I’m scrapbooking and the people in them – I love – so it’s perfect!

To help bring out the colors of the patterned papers backing the heart cut outs, I watercolored around them!

Cut hearts in half, piece them back together, then stitch through them to create a patchwork style background!

I used a paper towel roll bent into a heart shape then stamped with paint to make this custom heart background!

Hearts are perfect for lovey dovey layouts! 🙂 I also incorporated some paper tearing because goodness knows I love to use lots and lots of patterned papers on my pages!

Do you love to add hearts to your layouts, too?
