Latest & Greatest Card Making and Stamping by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo #cardmaking #ssbe2017 #scrapbookexpo #beckiadams

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a card that I created using products from the Latest & Greatest Card making AND Stamping workshops. This fun card came together within minutes. I started by trimming a piece of pink patterned paper from the Make Your Mark 6×8 paper pad from Bella Blvd. (If you took our Latest & Greatest Card Making workshop earlier this year, you received products from this collection.) Sewing around the edges of this piece of patterned paper was my next step. I love adding a little bit of texture with my sewing machine. It makes the card have a handmade feel to it as well. The main element of this card is the large fringe heart. I started by hand cutting a heart out of white cardstock. Then I cut 6 strips of patterned paper from the Make Your Mark 6×8 paper pad. Fringe scissors made the next step so easy! I cut each strip with fringe scissors. Use caution when cutting the strips! Make sure you don’t cut all the way through the strip. You’ll need to leave about 1/4 at the top of each strip so the fringe doesn’t fall apart. Then, I adhered each strip (starting at the bottom) to the white cardstock heart. When I had all the fringe adhered, I trimmed the excess fringe from around the heart. When I adhered the heart to the card front, I used foam adhesive to make the heart pop off of the page a little bit. At the bottom of the heart, I used black stamping ink and the Friends and Family stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps to create the sentiment. (If you were in our Latest & Greatest Stamping class, you received this stamp set.)The finishing touch on this card is a few sprinkles of gold spray ink. I love the shimmer that the gold ink gives to the card. I can’t wait to share this card with a sweet friend of mine.
