Thankful By Sandra Mouwen
I am excited to share this fabulous card with you today. Thanksgiving is such a special holiday and I look forward to it every year. I love the food, spending time with family, and enjoying the beautiful fall colors. This is such a perfect time to create a card of thankfulness. Today’s card may not be the standard autumn colors, but it certainly is one of those cards that will catch your eye.
As we draw closer to Thanksgiving, I often find myself wanting to send out cards, especially cards of gratitude for so many things, both big and small. With Thanksgiving being less than a week away, this card will certainly give you that inspiration to get your cards done for your special Thanksgiving day. Sannie has a full video tutorial that will help you make this fabulous card in no time. You can find the video and supplies HERE. Let those around you know how thankful you are for them by sending your guests home with one of your beautiful creations. Thank you, Sannie, for sharing your beautiful card with us.
Nature’s Elegance By Ereti Kaardimaania
It is that time of year when the leaves change color and fall from the trees. The weather is perfect, the colors are amazing, and the holidays are right around the corner. What isn’t there to love about this time of year? Today’s inspiration is a gorgeous card designed by Ereti Kaardimaania. Her card has such realistic looking leaves with a touch of gold. Ereti has really done a beautiful job inking and blending them.
Ereti created this work of art by making a simple watercolor card. Using the stamp Lovely as a Leaf from Sparkle & Sprinkle, she then added some distress inks and started some blending. After everything was dry she took a Sakura Glue Pen and drew some line to the veins of the leaves and covered the glue with Sunkissed Copper Nuvo Gilding Flakes. You really won’t want to miss out on her fabulous projects so be sure to give her a visit at Ereti Kaardimaania blog. You will truly be inspired!
Mixed Media Canvas By SolangeMarques
Do you love the look of mixed media projects but not quite sure how to get there? Today’s project designed by Solange Brands might be the perfect project for you. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit to Solange’s Scrap to see her video tutorial that will take you step-by-step in creating this fabulous canvas.
I love the beautiful textured background that Solange created. She used several different mediums, first applying modeling paste on a stencil. She adhered several different die cuts from BoBunny to create some elements. I love the way she cut several of each and glued one over the other to achieve greater thickness. My favorite part is adding the color. Solange used BoBunny’s glimmer sprays in Frost and Bronze to give it that rustic, vintage look. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this amazing project? This canvas will add some great personality and charm to any room of your home. I hope today’s project has inspired you to give mixed media a try. If you already love mix media then hopefully you will learn a new technique. I do have to warn you, it is addicting! Enjoy your time creating!
