Christmas Cheer

Welcome back to Weekly Scrapper, my dear friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and made many new memories with family and friends.  This is the most magical time of the year!  You can already start to feel the warmth of Christmas spirit in the air.  Since we are at the beginning of the holiday season, I thought it would be fun to share a few festive projects with you today.  It is still early enough in the season to create some of your favorite Christmas projects for this year.  I know you will enjoy the projects from some fabulous designers today, so sit back and enjoy!

Sparkly Christmas By Kavi Tha

Today I want to inspire you with this beautiful layout that was created with lots of beautiful sparkly silver, as well as using some silver-toned papers.  The beauty of the silver accents really makes for a perfect layout.  This beautiful, elegant, and eye-catching layout was created using the “Christmas Edition” collection by Kaiser Craft.  Don’t you just love the classic black and white and cream combination in this collection?  Using black and white makes it easy to customize the colors according to the photo you use.  Kavi added a hint of red to match the photograph and it really highlights this lovely layout.

This layout really jumped out at me and I just had to share it with you.  This is definitely one of those layouts that is full of perfectly placed embellishments and fine details.  What a beautiful way to preserve a special Christmas photo!  Look at all the beautiful layering that Kavi achieved; I am so impressed with her skilled techniques. Let’s pop on over to the Kaiser Craft blog where you will see all of the products you will need to create your own.  You will also be able to follow Kavi along to learn how to create this fabulous layout.

Christmas Cheer By Kay Miller

Who says you have to only use traditional colors for Christmas?  It will be so fun to step out of your comfort zone this year and create something different for your holiday Christmas cards.  If you haven’t started your Christmas cards, maybe this one will help you out.  This sweet card will bring a smile to anyone’s face!

Kay used the Abstract Christmas stamp from Whimsy Stamps.  Kay used Peerless watercolors to color her image.  She used several different shades of green, and when it dried she speckled with more of each of the different greens. This stamp will be the perfect solution for your handmade Christmas cards.  Don’t you just love the clean and elegant design?  Let me have the honor to escort you over to My Joyful Moments to see some of the steps Kay took to create this adorable card.  Please take a moment and check out Kay’s wonderful blog.  I promise you will be so happy you took the time to visit.  Have fun creating!

Holiday Advent Calendar By Angela Tombari

It is always so much fun to count down the days until Christmas.  What a creative way to do so just by creating a simple fun paper project.  It might look hard and complicated to create, but it’s not.  You only need a bit of patience and a love of fussy cutting!  Each little circle could have a surprise treat, toy, or even a special note for the person who gets to peek inside that day.  This will also keep moms and dads on their toes to get all their shopping, baking, and wrapping done for the holiday.

Holiday Advent Calendar

This darling Christmas Advent calendar was created by Angela Tombari.  Angela used the fabulous “Carousel Christmas” collection by Bo Bunny Designs.  This fun holiday project got me so excited to make one of these darling Advent Calendars for my grandchildren.  What a fun tradition to have with your family, whether it be for your children, grandchildren, or just for you. Click here so you can see the materials you will need to get started.  Thank you, Angela, for sharing this fun project.

Cream Cheese Danish By Kelly Senyei

Even a great Danish from a bakery will not taste as fresh as one you have baked yourself.  This streamlined process for making the dough minimizes the work while still giving you buttery, flaky results.  Top this classic cream cheese filling with a few strawberries before baking.

Are you drooling yet?  Here is your chance to get creative.  Use the cream cheese filling as your base and then add your favorite fruits for the topping.  Let’s pop on over to Just A Taste so Kelly can give you the ingredients and recipe.  This is one pastry that your family and friends will love.

This is the time of the year we all enjoy, so make sure to take some time for yourself and do some holiday crafting to create handmade treasures.  Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy this Christmas season.  See you back next Saturday!
