Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you some easy cute cards that I created with supplies from our Latest & Greatest Card Making workshop. Now that the holidays are behind us and a new year has come, I’m ready to create some generic cards that I can have on hand. I reached into my drawer of supplies from our Latest & Greatest workshops.
In our last few workshops of the 2017 show season those who took the Latest & Greatest Card Making workshop took home some of the Dream Big collection from Fancy Pants Designs. This collection is full of bold colorful patterns. On the first card I created I adhered several strips of patterned paper to a white card front. To keep the strips of patterned paper in place and to add a little bit of texture, I stitched around the edges of the card front.
I love the sentiment on this card! To make sure it stood out against the busy patterned paper card front, I used a few pop dots to adhere it. The last finishing touches to this card was a couple of blue buttons.
The second card I created is very simple. The card front is made of two contrasting patterned papers. Along the seam of the two patterned papers, I added several die cut flowers. The sentiment is a simple die cut adhered with pop dots in the lower right hand corner of the card front. The finishing touch on this card is a few red enamel dots tucked around the flower die cuts. I think enamel dots are the perfect finishing element on this card. If you were in our Latest & Greatest Card Making workshops, I’d love to see what you created with the Dream Big collection. It’s such a fun collection to play with. AND make sure you sign up for one of our Latest & Greatest workshops in 2018.
