Planner Swap Ideas

Hi all!  Vicky here, and today I want to share all about my love of swapping.  It is so much fun to give and receive a homemade gift from friends.  I love to reach out to a fellow planner friend and see if they would be interested in swapping.  In this case, I decided to make my friend a planner box filled with goodies to make planner clips.

First I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased this box in the storage section.  I then contacted my swap partner and asked her what her favorite colors were and her color choices were pink, black, white, and teal.

I headed into my craft room and searched for cute scrapbook paper, trim, washi tape, embellishments, and ephemera that would match her chosen colors.  I used my glue gun to adhere the scrapbook paper on the outside, and then found the cute black trim and black flower and glued that down as well.  I wanted to add a title on the outside of the box and wrote “PLANNER GIRL” with some puffy alpha stickers.  I continued coordinating with the cactus-themed paper by using my cactus punch by Sizzix and cut it out of green felt, and then added small flowers by Prima and I am Roses in the right corner to add even more cuteness.

When you open up the box, you will see that I continued the cactus theme and added black and white washi tape to frame it and added a positive ephemera.  I used the “Do what makes your soul happy” because I wanted her to see it every time she opens it and as a reminder to have fun each day!

I added all kinds of fun embellishments that she could add to her planners, such as paper clips to use with the flowers, pins, tassels, etc.  Different trims were in the box so she could add them to her dashboards, and finally sequins to make a shaker goodie.

I really love swapping my friends!  It is so much fun to give swaps and I absolutely love to receive that happy mail.  If you ever want to swap with me, let’s do it!  Have a fabulously planner-rific day, my friends!

Love always,

Vickyville
