Saturdays With LeAnn

Always And Forever

Hello, my friends, and welcome back on this beautiful Saturday!  I hope you are ready for another inspirational day.  I am so happy you found your way here to spend some time with me. Take a few minutes for yourself today and enjoy some downtime.  I have some beautiful projects in store for you and I hope you will enjoy these unique ideas and be filled with wonderful inspiration.

Love Of Travel By Meghann Andrew

Do you love traveling?  Not sure how to add the memorabilia from your trips to your layouts?  Meghann’s beautiful layout will give you some tips and ideas how to create a fun page about one of your favorite traveling spots.

Love Of Travel

Creating a complementary page to the layout will allow you to add more photos and journaling, including maps and more memorabilia to this two-page spread.

Love Of Travel

Meghann used the “Escape the Ordinary” collection from Pinkfresh Studio.  This is a fabulous collection for travel layouts. Scrapbooking is not just about the photos and embellishments, but the meaningful story about the photos.  After all, isn’t that why we scrapbook, to preserve and record those special moments of life?  Click here and you will be able to watch a video created by Meghann on how she created this layout.  You can also see more of Meghann’s projects by following her blog Brioche And Blessings.  You are sure to be inspired by her wonderful talent.  This fabulous layout was in the issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine.

Always and Forever By Cathie Cowles

This lovely card is a masterpiece and full of cardmaking inspiration!  This is one of those designs that can be adapted to fit any occasion.  Many of you know the passion I have for mixed media and using stamps and inks.  When I discovered this beautifully inked card, I knew I had to share it with you.  It doesn’t matter if you are new to crafting or have years of experience, this project will allow you to explore and create your own ideas.   Before you know it, you will be creating something unique and beautiful all your own.

Always And Forever

Using your imagination is all about creativity and taking something as simple as a piece of paper and creating a beautiful piece of art.  I hope you have been inspired today to take out your stamps and let your imagination run wild.  Cards may be little but they are packed with mounds of love.  Beautiful handmade cards are such a great way to bring some sunshine to a friend or loved one’s day.  Let me take you on over to Daydreams In Paper where you will find step-by-step instructions on how Cathie created this outstanding card.  Be sure to look at her other projects as well – you are going to love her creative talent.

Headboard Bench By Christy James

Recently I went to a Parade of Homes show here in Utah.  I have to say I have never seen so many cute benches in all my life.  Attractive benches are a big rage right now.  I couldn’t wait to get home to start searching for the perfect bench for my home.  You see benches on the porch, in entryways, and at the end of beds.  Not only are they adorable, but very practical as well.  I stumbled onto this fun Do It Yourself tutorial from Christy James.  I have to say… this was it!  Why buy one when you can create your own, in your own colors, and the exact size that you want?  I couldn’t wait to go thrift store shopping for a fun headboard to turn into my bench.

Headboard Bench

You will be so surprised how many old bed frames there are out there.  It was so hard to pick out  just one that would look the best in my home.  I can honestly say they are very inexpensive as well.  So my friends, click here and Christy will walk you step-by-step on how to turn a headboard into a beautiful bench.  She will give you all the instruction you will need to make this a fun and simple project.  For more creative DIY projects, be sure to visit her blog Confessions Of A Serial Do It Yourselfer.  You are going to have so much fun creating this fun project.  Enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to turn my daughter’s crib into a bench for some time now. Hopefully the weather will warm up soon so I can get a start on it. Thanks for sharing this project and the link for the instructions.

Your weekend posts always seem to leave me happy, inspired and hungry! lol
The card is so pretty and I love the great LO with the new twist on the photo display. Lots of pics and a great way to carry the eye through all of them.
The bench is so cute and would look great tucked into a corner…maybe a good spot to sit and enjoy one (or two) of those yummy almond cheesecakes. After all, they are quite tiny so a couple wouldn’t be asking too much, would it? lol
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend. Monday is a holiday here in New Brunswick so we are getting the pleasure of enjoying our first official Family Day long weekend. A great break for so many families. 🙂
