Hello my crafty friends, and welcome back to our blog! First, I’d like to wish all of you amazing moms a “Happy Mother’s Day.” It makes me smile knowing that you are having a nice relaxing day and that part of it is spent chilling in your happy place, also known as your craft room.
I’m So Glad You’re My Mama! by Jomelle Gomez
In honor of Mother’s Day, I thought you would be inspired by this fun collection from Simple Stories titled Mama Llama. How perfect is this collection to use to honor our amazing moms, not only on Mother’s Day but throughout the year? Jomelle created an amazing planner set up, but can’t you see a few of your handmade cards, tags, scrapbooks layouts, or even a mini album all done up for Mom? As a mom myself, I treasure those handmade cards and gifts more than any store-bought gift, maybe it’s the crafter in me that knows how much love is put into each piece of art
Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to the Simple Stories site so you can check out the entire collection. Just a head’s up for all you digi fans, be sure to check out the Mama Llama Digital Simple Set. I think you’re going to love it, the possibilities are endless!
Swinging By To Say Hello by llina Crouse
Laurie had me at the ink blending background and the whimsical silhouette image. I do have a soft spot for both. I love what llina created with the May My Monthly Hero kit! While writing this post, I decided I’m going to have to order this kit, I love the nostalgic look and feel that the silhouette images bring to the card. Layered over the gorgeous inky background, you have a definite hit on your hands. Big hugs to llina for showing us how it’s done.
With a little help from our creative friend llina and our friends over at Hero Arts you can create fun scenes like this in no time. Click here, I would love to take you over to the Hero Arts blog. I highly recommend checking out all the other projects that were designed with May’s kit; you’re going to love them. While you’re there, be sure to check out the awesome May Edition add-ons that are available. Have fun!
Loads Of Love By Tracey McNeely
Who knew that a laundry-themed card could be so adorable? Tracey used Jillibean Soup’s Landry Clear Stamp & Die Set to create the fun shaker element. The set Includes 10 stamps and six dies. The shirt is approximately 1 x 1 inches so as you can see, it fits perfectly in the cute little washing machine. Too cute! I think it will definitely make Mom smile.
For a complete supply list, click here and I will take you over to spend some creative time with Tracey on her blog In My Creative Opinion. You are sure to be inspired by her creativity.
Garlic Shrimp Pasta by Well Plated
This dinner is perfect for a weeknight meal or is equally at home when you’re having friends over for dinner. I know it looks fancy but with a little help from our friend Erin you, too, can have this yummy meal on the table in about 30 minutes. Flavor-wise, this recipe is similar to a garlic shrimp scampi pasta but is much lighter.
This quick, easy, and healthy shrimp dinner tastes like the sort of meal that you would find at one of your favorite restaurants but the beauty is that it’s a lot healthier and you can enjoy it in the comfort of your own home. What’s not to love? Big hugs to Erin for sharing her culinary skills will all of us. Click here and I will be happy to take you over so you can print out the recipe.
Thanks for a great visit! I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you and I look forward to next Sunday when we meet again.
Hugs to all!
Lorraine
