Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here. I’m excited to share some inspiration with you using the Celebrate the Little Things collection from Keep It Simple paper crafts. This collection is all about celebrating all the little moments in life. As scrapbookers, we often document the big events and milestones in our lives. Often the magic happens in the little moments that happen daily.
Celebrate the Little Things
The layout I have to share with you today is about a small moment of having my nieces come play at my house for the afternoon. I had one selfie photo that I wanted to use to tell this story, as a result, I had lots of room to play with this beautiful collection.
One of my favorite products in this collection is the huge chipboard words. They’re perfect for titles! The possibilities are endless when it comes to these chipboard titles. Because they’re a matte white, they can be painted, inked, stamped, or embossed. I have so many bold colors on this layout I used the chipboard word “enjoy” just as it came out of the package.
These beautiful crochet flowers are fussy cut from a patterned paper found in the Celebrate the Little Things collection kit. As a result, there aren’t many other embellishments on this layout. Fussy cutting elements from patterned paper creates tons of embellishments with very little expense.
They’re so easy to fussy cut. And having those flowers cascade from the top right corner of the layout to the bottom left corner of the layout makes such big impact and draws your attention right to the photo.
In the center of each flower I did some simple hand stitching to create interest and texture to the flowers. I love the big impact that these beautiful flowers have on this layout.
