Saturdays With LeAnn

Repurposed Drawer Arrangement

Hello, my fellow creatives!  LeAnn here with you on the blog today.  Happy Saturday to you all!  I hope you are sitting back in your comfy clothes and are ready to enjoy some fun projects that I have to share with you today.  Your Saturday inspiration is coming your way, and I believe these projects will give you tons of creative ideas!  Grab a drink and let’s get started!

Oh Snap By Nathalie DeSousa

I just love how the watercolor markers and the glitter glaze totally inspired this layout, starting with mixing Mint Julep, Blue Hawaiian, and Blueberry Pie watercolor markers together to add color to the page.  Once they dried, Nathalie used a bit of the Iridescent Glitter glaze and a stencil to create an impression on the background.  One of my favorite things in scrapbooking is creating backgrounds.  There are so many different mediums you can use and you can be very creative with a large variety of products.

Oh Snap

With the winter season finally behind us, I thought you might enjoy a nice spring-inspired project.  I fell in love with the beautiful pastel colors combined with all the fun embellishments that are perfect for those spring and summer photos.  There is so much more than meets the eye on this darling layout.  You will definitely pick up a few new tips and techniques to use on your layouts by following Nathalie on her video. I highly recommend stopping by Vicki Boutin’s blog to see many more of Nathalie’s fabulous projects.  Happy scrapping, my sweet friends!

Thankful By Denise van Deventer

I am so excited that warmer weather is finally starting to arrive!  It has been a very long winter.  This darling card really portrays the fresh spring feeling in the air!  Taking a simple piece of white paper and using your imagination is what being creative is all about.  And what is more fun than fussy cutting?  This beautiful card was created using the Thankful stamp, along with fussy cut bits from the Bee-Utiful collection from BoBunny.  This simply charming card will put a smile on anyone’s face and will brighten up their day!

Thankful

This card reminds me of sweet flowers and warm breezes on a beautiful spring day.  Let’s pop on over to BoBunny’s blog where you will find different styles of cards for giving thanks that will be very fun to create, and you will find a list of materials that you will need to get you started.  You are sure to love all of Denise’s cards and her wonderful talent.  A big thank you goes out to Denise for sharing her outstanding talent with us.

Repurposed Drawers Arrangement By Christy James

Aren’t we ready to add a touch of spring to our homes?  You can see by now that I am very ready for spring.  This re-purposed drawer is a beautiful work of art that gives a vintage flair to your home.  Don’t throw out old dresser drawers, reuse them!  Think of the possibilities before getting rid of your dresser.  You will be amazed at what you can create with different styles of drawers.

Repurposed Drawer Arrangement

Christy found these drawers at a thrift store for only 99 cents.  What a steal!  Christy then resized the drawers by using her miter saw.  Once she completed the size of box she desired, she then painted them both in her go-to-white DIY chalk paint.  Click here for her recipe.  Adding a little bit of distressing to the drawers after the paint dried gave these a beautiful, vintage look.  Now it is time to add your favorite handles and a lovely spring floral arrangement.  What a fun way to add some pretty decor to your home.  Click here and I will take you over to Confessions of a Do It Yourselfer where you will find step-by-step instructions by Christy James.  Be sure to check out many more of her fabulous projects.  Have fun being creative!

Blondies Cookie Bars By Meghan Splawn

Those of you who love the flavor of the classic cookie will enjoy the same great flavor in these chocolate chip bars.  These blondies are wonderful and are a perfect treat to have for occasions when company comes over or you need a treat in a hurry!  These are the best chewy blondies that will ever grace your taste buds!  They are irresistible and easier than actual cookies!

Blondies Cookie Bars

This particular recipe is made with just a few simple pantry ingredients and a handful of chocolate chips so you can make them anytime the blondie mood strikes.  Since they don’t require any special ingredients or scooping and shaping before baking, blondies are inherently one of the easiest baked goods you can make.  Come with me over to The Kitchen so you can print off this easy and yummy recipe.  You are going to love to bake these!  You will want to add it to your list of favorite dessert recipes.  Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and that you have been inspired to begin your weekend crafting.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you.  I will see you back soon with some more wonderful projects to share!

Hugs sent your way,

LeAnn
