Sundays With Lorraine

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to our blog, Paper Affair! The Holidays are upon us and I am in full craft mode. I hope you enjoy today’s creative therapy and that it offers you some inspiration to purge forward with your Holiday crafts. The people in your life truly appreciate your handmade cards and gifts.

Wishing You Joy by Amy Young

I instantly fell in love with this adorable Christmas card designed by the very talented Amy Young and I knew I needed to share the inspiration. I must admit that I am a novice when it comes to coloring with alcohol markers, but when I saw what Amy created with the new stamps by Dreamerland Crafts, I immediately had to practice coloring. With enough practice and a little guidance from Amy, we can all create little works of art. Click here if you’d like additional instruction along with a complete supply list. Kudos to you for sharing those smiles one handmade card at a time!

My Favorite Snow Buddy by Debbie Olson

Since you might already be inspired to break out your Copic markers, check out this sweet card designed by Debbie Olson. Debbie definitely has some mad coloring skills; she really knows how to bring her stamped images to life and is a true inspiration to her fellow paper crafters! The stamp set used is a new release from My Favorite Things appropriately titled Snow Bunnies, and you’ll be happy to know that there is also a matching die set! The Snow Bunny set is perfect for Christmas projects, but can also carry us through our winter projects as well. Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Debbie’s blog Thinking Inking for additional inspiration.

Painted Snowy Tree Mason Jar

Many of you already know that I am a huge fan of Mason jars; I use them for every from storing/organizing my crafting supplies, home decor projects, and of course for the occasional canning project. I love how easily these adorable jars come together! My plan is to make several of them to hold my silverware for our Christmas table. Linda chose to paint her jars a light grey which I love, but feel free to use whatever colors go with your personal decor. Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t they make a nice hostess gift for the next holiday party that you’re invited to? Linda is the queen of decorating on a budget, so be sure to check out her blog It All Started With Paint. You are sure to be inspired!

With the holidays nipping at our heels, things can get a bit crazy. But not to worry, our friends over at the Kitchn food blog have our backs! You and your family are gonna love this Classic Salisbury Steak, and the best part is that you can have this yummy meal on the table in about half an hour. Happy campers around the table and dinner ready in half an hour is a beautiful thing. Enjoy! Be sure to hop on over the Kitchn food blog any time you are in need of some serious inspiration in the kitchen.

My hope is to inspire you to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, to try new things, and most importantly, to have fun with your art! Thanks for visiting and I hope you have an amazing week in front of you!

Since our 2019 show season has come to a close, I wanted to remind you that we can still stay connected online.
