Hello! Jennie McGarvey back with you here today to talk about a topic I think a lot about, paper scraps!
What do you do with your scraps when you’re done with them? Likely you save them, but do you use them? A while back I found that I was always saving them but not actually putting them to use. I made a change to use the scraps right when I was finished creating a scrapbook layout. Supplies still out, I try and make cards with what is left!
I had created a page using the Keep It Simple collection, Celebrate the Little Things and I was no where done with the supplies. I absolutely love everything about this collection and wanted to make sure I used the scraps!
It’s awesome when you have a wide variety of pieces available. Not only did I have the patterned paper, but I also had ephemera, as well. I could create so many different things thanks to those supplies.
I don’t even know where to begin here! I’m so in love with the florals and that lovely pink that is included in this collection. I’m just glad I had some of both leftover to add to this card! Thanks to that I have two cards to send to celebrate the special people in my life.
Next time you do a bit of memory keeping don’t file those scraps away for another day! Start a card with what is out on your desk. You’ll get to use your beloved supplies and create something special to give, too.
Awesome job on your cards! They are so adorable.
Thanks so much!
Wonderful idea. I’m going to use it!
I have lots of scraps. Thanks for the inspiration.
Wonderful idea. I’m going to start !
Wonderful idea. I’m going to start doing that too.
Hooray!I hope you love doing it, too!
I save many scraps and also use them for cards, I love the ideas that have been incorporated into these cards.
That is awesome! Thanks for checking out the cards. 🙂
Awesome ideas! I save scraps and I do go through them periodically to see what I might use! Thanks for the inspiration!
Yes! That is fantastic – scraps can be such a great way to have a little more fun with the patterns.
Great way to use scrap paper and keep extra cards on hand for all occasions.
I agree! Besides, the papers are usually so pretty, I love getting a chance to use them again!
i have never used your products from what i have seen they are great ! Anxious to try so please select me as a winner have a blessed day
Now I know what o do with the box of scraps I have!! Thanks for the wonderful idea and look forward to trying your products.
So glad it was helpful! It’s one of my favorite things to do – I love getting all of the use out of the pretty papers!
Nice card!
Thanks so much!
Good thinking. Made a new reslove. Use em up!!
Absolutely! Might as well get all the use from them you can!
I love saving my scraps. I made many of my Christmas cards from cardstock strips last year. It was a blast!
That sounds amazing! 🙂
I just started organizing my supplies and have sorted my scraps by color/theme and only keep 3 x 3 sizes or larger. That way when I need a little something, I can go straight to the scraps and utilize them first instead of cutting a new piece of paper.
Such a great idea. I think I’ll try it myself. Thanks!
So cute. Love the cards
Great idea to do this right away. Love using every bit of my scraps. Thanks
I always stock pile my scraps and rarely use them. What a great idea to start a project with them right away! Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow! I’m inspired! No more stashing my scraps!
Thank you for the bright idea ?
I am rather new but wow who knew so many card folks are out there! This is so helpful!
I have my scraps filed according to colors in a portable file. I keep all kinds of sizes of paper. I use them in cards and have made scrapbook pages just using scraps. It’s fun using them again and remembering what they were used for previously.
I love making cards using scraps. The more ideas, the better!
Great Idea!! Will be respectful of the scraps and use them more in cards. Thanks.
Great idea! I am anxious to give it a try.
I have a scrap box I keep under my desk. Weather it’s patterned paper, cut out strips of card stock or stamped paper, it always feels good to reach for the box and find some inspiration in there.
Thanks for sharing your cards from scraps. Great way to use of those favorite scraps thpat I just can’t bear to put into the recycling bin.
Awesome. I have so many scraps saved I need to start thinking this way. Your ideas were great.
Great ideas! Thank you for sharing. I’m going to switch up how I handle card stock scraps – it makes total sense to use them right away.

I need to start using my scraps : ) Thanks for the ideas.
Love it to pieces
I always keep my scraps but need to focus on using them more. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great cards.
Great idea. I keep the solids but not the patterned papers. I’m changing it up now. I need to learn to be more imaginative in my paper matching. Thank you for the article.

Great idea! I am bad about putting my scraps away and never getting back to them.
Same until I started doing this. Now, I am creating a much smaller scrap pile!
I have done paper piecing of images before using my scraps, but not creating a whole card with them. What an idea. Thank you for sharing.
I save scraps but I nrver ue them so thanks for these ideas I will have to try them out. That plaid paper on the cover photo is calling my name.
So very clever! I do keep my scraps, but need to use them up – I will have to try this!
At every layout class, I have always said “Make a card of two with the scraps every time you do a layout.”
I absolutely love this!
Great cards! My goal this year is to clean up and use as many scraps as possible and you’ve given me so great ideas!
