Sundays With Lorraine

Hello my crafty friends!  I am so excited just thinking of all the fun we are going to have during our 2020 show season. It has been three months since our last show and I must admit I miss you all terribly! But on a happier note, I’ve been enjoying some quality time in the craft room! The following projects inspired me to break out several new items that I picked up at the shows last season but haven’t played with yet. I hope they inspire you as well!

Sweet Adventure Layout by Diane Williams

I love how Diane let her Silhouette do most of the work creating this adorable baby layout. Diane used one of Paige Evans’ Heart Circles cut file to create the fun circle of hearts. If you would like to purchase the file, you’ll be happy to hear the cost is a mere $0.74! I know, under $1.00! That’s less than the cost of a single sheet of paper; what’s not to love? Instant gratification (LOL). Just thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t this cut file be perfect for those Valentine’s Day pages? Time to get some of those priceless pics off your phone and on to a memorable layout.

Butterfly Transformation Card by Michelle Short

Many of us, myself included have a soft spot for butterflies, I thought you might be inspired by this sweet card designed by Michelle Short. The butterfly represents spiritual rebirth, transformation, creativity, endless potential, vibrant joy, change, ascension, and an ability to experience the wonder of life. The cycle of the butterfly in and of itself holds spiritual symbolism and insight for us. In case you need this unique stamp in your life, it’s from The Ton and is appropriately titled Transformation, click here and I will take you over so you can check out the full set; it has some heartfelt sentiments as well. While you are on The Ton site, be sure to check out the videos; they really inspired me to break out different coloring mediums and create some magic. Kudos to you for sharing those smiles one handmade card at a time!

Garlic Butter Mushroom Pork Chops Recipe

It’s that time of day when you are scratching your head wondering what’s for dinner. How about some tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful pork chops? You will be happy to know that with a little help from Anna, you can have dinner on the table in about Thirty minutes! Now that I have your attention (LOL) click here and I will be happy to escort you over to one of my new favorite food blogs: Crunchy Creamy Sweet. I love that many of Anna’s recipes are easy to recreate and typically use ingredients that I have on hand.

Thanks for stopping by!  We are about to begin another great year of fun and inspiration for our fellow paper crafters, and you know what that means: it’s time to start planning that much needed weekend away with your creative peeps!  Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to our website so you can check out our show schedule.  With this many shows around the nation, the question is not what show you should attend, but rather how many shows you can attend!

Don’t forget that even when you are not attending a Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, you can always join us online!

I look forward to seeing you soon. I’ll meet you at the Creativity Center!

Hugs to all!
