Nautical Birthday Card

It is so hard sometimes to come up with an idea for that perfect masculine card.  Here is a wonderful idea to help you create a Birthday card for that special guy.   This was created by Kathy Jo with I’m a Little Tea Pot. A big Thank You Kathy Jo for sharing this inspiration with us.  This stamp set can be used so many different ways.

Nautical Birthday Card

The card base is made from Kraft card stock.  The stamp is Anchors away from JustRite stamps.  The background stamp is Victorian Tile.  Adding twine that was sewn into the top of the paper added a bit more of a nautical feel.  Using a gold piece of paper die cut using the Spellbinders set Twisted Metal Tags & Accents.  Gold  Stickles were applied to the outline of the Anchors Away die cut, and in the centers of the background stamp.  The inside of the card used the Lifestyles Crafts Anchor embossing folder to give it that added nautical look.  The embossed anchors details were a perfect touch.

Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style.  Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.

Hmmm. The original designer did’t share that information. My guess is that it is 5-1/2″ wide and then maybe 5″ tall. If I were to make this card, I would adjust the size so that it fit in a standard A2 size envelope. Good luck Janet!
