Vintage Card

This beautiful card was created by Julie Day at J.Day Designs. A big Thank You goes to Julie for sharing this inspiration with us. Julie designed this card using Stampin’ Up products. Making it a very vintage look.

Julie started with selecting her color palette using Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla striped ribbon, along with Baja Breeze, Polka Dot Floral and Parisian Breeze paper and cardstock. Giving all the pieces a worn soft aged look she then sanded everything. Next Julie inked everything with Crumb Cake and then sanded again. The large panel on the card base was created by stamping off the image once and then stamping on the cardstock to get a lighter image. The focal image was stamped with Riding Hood Red onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then sanding the whole image and applied Crumb Cake ink with a sponge. This panel was mounted on Whisper White that was also distressed and inked along the edges. Using cream-colored thread she then zigzag stitched the edge of the focal image along with the large panel of the card base.

For the accessories Julie used large striped ribbon tied in a simple bow. A button was sewed onto the knot and then pearl stickers were placed around the edge and center of the button. The final touch was two corsage pins pinned through ribbon the bow with the crystal and pearl beads under the button.
