Don’t you just love the colors and textures of this round card? Don’t shy away from making round cards because you can’t find envelopes for them. Pull out your CD envelopes with the acetate front. This will make a great envelope and so fun to see the card shine through the acetate. This sweet card was created by Amy Crockett. She has so many creative projects so be sure to stop by her blog Scrapping Mommy for more wonderful inspiration.
The flamingos are from Peachy Keen Stamps. Add some white pen details to the colored images to really highlight the feathers. The sentiments are from the stamp set Flamingo Phrases.
The circle card and palm leaves are cut with a Cricut machine. Some embossing with the D’vine Swirls and Swiss Dots embossing folders really give this some great texture. To finish off the card Amy added some hand stitching. This is such a fabulous card. Don’t you just love the circle for a change? The embossing is so perfect for each layer as well. And let’s not forget to mention the beautiful coloring with her Copics. Thank You Amy for sharing such an adorable card with us.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
