Nautical Coaster Set

Nautical collections are one of my favorite themes to design with, so when I discovered this adorable coaster gift set on the Carta Bella website I knew I had to share it with our readers. I’d like to send out a big thank you to Brigit Mann, one of the very talented members on the Carta Bella design team, for sharing her fun project with us today.

Nautical Coaster Set

For the coasters, Brigit used adhesive backed cork and attached a piece of felt. She then ran them through a manual die cut machine using a 3 3/5 circle die. If the die that you are using is having a hard time cutting through both pieces, you can run them through separately and then glue them together. The nautical design was stamped on the coasters using the Carta Bella Ahoy There collection with matching stamps and dies.

The box is about 4X4X1 and 6 coasters will fit nicely. Brigit used a die to create the box, but you could also use a score board and create your own. I love how she cut out a circle on the front and lined the inside of the box with clear acetate so that the coasters peek out.

All that’s left is to decorate the outside of your gift box. Brigit used ribbon, twine, buttons, and some elements stickers.  You can use whatever is in your stash.  Wouldn’t these cute coasters make a nice hostess gift for your end-of-summer BBQ?
