Today’s inspiration is a stunning card created by the talented Julee Tilman. This set from Verve Stamps is an elegant Indian-inspired medallions set and the possibilities with it are endless. What a fun card design to use for many occasions; simply change out the papers and you’ll be using this card often. A big thank you goes to Julee Tilman for her fabulous design and we know you will be inspired by visiting her Poetic Artistry blog.
Julee started out using Crumb Cake cardstock from Stampin’ Up! and cut two circles with the classic circles Nestabilities. Stamp the large medallion in island indigo and add the sentiment on the other circle. Stamp the small circle medallion twice and a smaller star image in Versamark. Using the same small circle medallion, punch out and mat on a 1.25″ punch of island indigo to pop up the center of the large medallion. Sponge these two pieces with walnut ink distress stain and mat on pinking circles Nestabilities.
For the background of the card, stamp in VersaMark ink the other large medallion image randomly over the entire piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Go back over and stamp the smaller loopy medallion in the center of each medallion and emboss with a clear embossing powder. Sponge the edges, add some island indigo ribbon, and layer two medallions. Accent with a beautiful butterfly.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Take a look at your project in a different way and never hesitate to try something new.
Thank you for visiting. I wish you a very happy and creative day!
