Welcome back to Freebie Friday! I hope you have all had a fabulous week! I am very much looking forward to having some downtime this weekend. Sometimes with kids it feels like I am always on the go. Keeping busy means I have lots of photographic moments but not always a lot of time to relax. When I do have some time to just sit, I enjoy both reading and scrapbooking. One of my favourite magazines to both flip through and read is Scrapbook & Cards Today. This magazine is available in a printed version as well as online for free. I am a very visual person and I love all the white space that this magazine has to offer. Not only do the projects inspire me and make me happy, but I love the actual layout and format of the magazine. It is nice and clean and does not make my brain feel overwhelmed with too many visuals.
Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine is published four times a year. The Winter 2014 issue that released in December is available for viewing online here or for free download. All back issues are also available for viewing online. Here are a few of my favourite layouts that were published in the magazine in 2014.

Hit on accident before i was done….Scrapbooking means saving precious memories of my newborn and my other 4 children for them to read about and remember for years to come. It is also my only release for me and allows me to relax and enjoy time with friends and my oldest daughter.
Scrapbooking to me is keeping the moments and past of my family and children alive. But, beyond that, the whole experience of putting my books together is so gratifying and now I make cards and other paper crafts and have gotten my sister and daughter involved, it is more a way of life than just a hobby.
Scrapbooking to me is keeping the wonderful memories alive. It’s like to preserving all those wonderful moments for others to see, feel and love. My family knows that’s it’s my way to show-demonstrate my love for them now and always.

Scrapbooking means to me: Some “me time” where my creative self takes over, the hectic day’s activities fade away and I think of all the recipients of my creations.

Scrapbooking means an escape creativeness. It means documenting things our family has done so the memories can be looked through and stories retold by my daughter. She loves looking through the scrapbooks to see our family history before her and to tell her version of the stories I’ve scrapped.

I am amazed at how little remains of the paper craft industry’s magazines. Yes, digital saves space but I love paper! I do not own an iPad. The turning of the page, the dog earring or post it flagging of the pages, the smell of the ink!

I attended the Scrapbook Expo at the Gaylord in Grapevine, TX. It was my first time there and I loved it! I was able to get a copy of this greet magazine and would love to have a subscription. it means saving memories for my family and son. i love looking at the albums with family and seeing them enjoy them as much as i enjoyed making them.
i do scrapbooking as part of my family tree. So it means everything to me to be able to see my family and show others what their relatives that are gone looked like and how they fit in the tree.
It means a way to escape my daily stress…to create and show my friends and family some love thru my creations.
Scrapbooking is my way of relaxing and enjoying friends. A way of remembering places I’ve visited and friends in my life. It gives me an outlet for my creativity and also teaches me how to be more patient with what I’m making. I like to get things done fast and creating a scrapbook page makes me look at colors and designs and that’s not one of my stranger points of crafting.

Scrapbooking is my piece of history. I was adopted & have very few pictures of my own childhood. I have taken tons of pictures of my son. I started scrapping those pics right after he was born. I want those memories to live on with him & his kids forever. Memories are precious & sometimes just having that one little picture really does mean/ say a thousand words.

Scrapbooking means not only preserving memories but telling my story to all future generations.
scrapbooking means memories kept, fun times remembered and history for my child and family.
“Freedom” is what scrapbooking means to me. I absolutely love the chance to create many different things from so much “random” material from my life. Whether it be creating an entire theme from an event or multiple trips to creating an album that just has a prevailing theme of all the people who share the fact that they are in it. Scrapbooking lets me get away to almost a different world then that of the one I live with a brain tumor and seizures and let’s me be me creative, whether it be good or bad. They say it is the little things in life that keep you happy and going…well scrapbooking is that “little thing” in my life that lets me be very happy and content. If I could scrapbook for at least an hour each day, I feel that it would not only make my passion for it grow enormously but also give me the diversion from these medical conditions even more.

Scrap booking means “unconditional love”. Through happy moments and even the not so happy moments, our family’s unconditional love shines on my scrapbook pages. I love to document all the memories I can!
I love all kinds of paper crafting but especially mini albums and cards. They give me the satisfaction of being creative and giving of something handmade with the ability to drop the project to attend to our family’s busy schedule then pick up where I left off. So much flexibility and endless opportunities for creativity.

I make cards, and for me it means to create, to relax, it is an escape to my own world and to find there a different way to express myself. I would love to win the subscription to have another source of inspiration and to learn new techniques.
I love everything about scrapbooking, the beautiful papers, embellishments, the ribbons and flowers. But most of all, the opportunity to look back on all the memories we made.
Scrapbooking to me is a connection from one generation to the next. It is a way to tell the stories of our lives so that those who come after us will know who we are, what we did, what brought us joy and made us who we are. It is a way to show the ones we love what we love about them, and hopefully, one day when we are gone, remind them of that love and all the days shared with them. To me scrapbooking means enjoying two of my favorite things. I love taking photos and I love doing crafts with paper (and embellishments). It is also nice to highlight different things in your life.
I scrapbook my vacations – trips to Alaska, Ireland, an African Safari. These books will entertain me when the time comes that I can no longer travel. I’ll be able to look through the pages and remember all of the wonderful sights and sounds of the trips.

Scrapbooking is therapy for me as I suffer from degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia. People say scrapbooking is cheaper than therapy but I am not finding that to be true with all the new amazing products. I absolutely love your magazine and would be delighted to receive a subscription.
