Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Good morning my friends! I hope today will start off a great weekend for you, and that you get to relax and enjoy every minute of it. Today I hope to bring you inspiration that will get you excited to start creating some fun projects.

Do you like to add some texture to your layouts? This lovely layout was created using gesso, modeling paste, and micro beads with some of Prima glitters. What gorgeous backgrounds these mediums can create! For those of you who don’t know me, I just love to layer, especially on my layouts. So in this layout there is a lot of beautiful layering.

Life Is Full Of Wonderful

Mixed media is such a big trend right now. It took me some time to try it (I have to admit I was scared to take the plunge). One afternoon I decided it was time to pull out some of the mediums that I had purchased and I began to create. I honestly have to admit it was a lot of fun and also very addicting. For those of you who are like me, go ahead and  jump in and give it a try! You will be so impressed to see how creative you can be with your artwork. Along with the mixed media background, you can create this darling layout using resin pieces, silk flowers, decorative straws, chipboard, brads, cardstock stickers, and glitter. A big thank you to Erin Blegen for allowing us to share this beautiful layout. For more of her wonderful inspiration jump on over and visit her blog My Scrap Cabin.

Now I want to show you some beautiful and fun cards. This card was created for Tim Holtz’s booth at CHA by Jan Hobbins. Tim’s Framework dies are so much fun to work with! This is a brand new one that was released at CHA called “Wave” and is so perfect for those background elements. Once again, I love the textures and layers.

The teacup is my favorite part of this beautiful card. The chipboard teacup is covered with patterned vellum and has a slit cut out so you can tuck in some embellishments. The teacup and wallflower are such a perfect combo for this card. Once again, I am going to send you to a wonderful blog In My Own Imagination for some card inspiration.

One can never have to many gift card holder ideas. With gift cards being so available these days, the have become a very popular gift. There are gift cards for just about anyone. Now all you need is great inspiration to create a darling card that you can place that gift card into. The card itself is priceless and what a fun way to present your gift.

Find that perfect stamp and sentiment and the rest is a breeze. Kathy Curry designed this fun card using the image With Enough Coffee Owl from Bugaboo Digi Stamps. So perfect for a Starbucks gift card.
