I just returned home from amazing shows in Georgia, Minnesota, and California, and I am all fired up to share some fun projects with you today so sit back, relax, and enjoy today’s inspiration.
Dream Big designed by Jinny Newlin
Scrapbooking is all about preserving your priceless photos, your special memories, and to record your journey through life. This double-page spread designed by Jinny first caught my eye because of the number of photos that were displayed. So many of the layouts that I currently see showcase only one photo, which is lovely, but when you take a bunch of pictures of a single event, how do you choose just one single photo?
Don’t you just love how Jinny added the sequential photos on the right page; she really captured her daughter’s love of dance. Embossing Folder Letterpress by Amber
It truly makes me smile when I discover another way to use the supplies that I already have on hand. After being part of the Scrapbook Expo Team for the last 15 years, you can imagine my stash of supplies, especially since I still hit each show floor running to see what else I need in my life. One can never have too many tools, right? 😉 Since I have more than my fair share of embossing folders, I can’t wait to give this technique a try.
What a great way to stretch your supplies by using embossing folders to create large letterpress backgrounds. I love how quick and easy these adorable note cards come together. I can definitely see several of these grouped together and wrapped in twine to give as a little pishky. I hope you’ve been inspired to give this technique a try; you’re gonna love it – the possibilities are endless.
Love You Mom designed by Lucy Abrams
You don’t need a special day to let Mom know how special she is. She is sure to feel the love when she receives this darling card in the mail. That’s right; good old-fashioned snail mail! I love the classic grey and pink color combo, how the sentiment and flower stems were heat embossed in white, and how the gorgeous Moonshine sequins add the perfect amount of sparkle.
I highly recommend stopping by Lucy’s Cards for a visit anytime you need a burst of inspiration. She is an amazing designer and has some really great tips and techniques to share. Keep up the good work spreading those smiles one handmade card at a time! Everyone loves to receive a handmade card in the mail.
